Heather & Josef | Uluru Elopement
Uluru Elopement
– Heather & Josef –
One of the best things about my job is getting to meet such awesome couples who are fun, adventurous and completely in love with each other! On Monday I met up with Heather and Josef for their Uluru elopement and it was absolutely perfect. They had spoilt themselves with a stay at Longitude 131 and on their second day, were married atop a sand dune overlooking Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
There were lots of tears shed (my own as well – their vows were incredibly heartfelt!), love, laughter and the connection between these two was so clear and beautiful, I absolutely loved photographing them! Afterwards it got me thinking about how people like Heather and Josef give me their most valuable moments – there was no-one else at their elopement, just the two of them, so to be there in itself was a huge privilege, and for them to share these precious moments with me and to trust me to capture them perfectly, is just such an honour. Thank you to all the couples who give me their first minutes together when they’re freshly married. I even got to play a small part in Heather and Josef’s elopement as a witness, and snuck in a quick piccie with them both and their lovely officiant Eileen’s partner who was their second witness 🙂
Enjoy a few early favourite moments from Heather and Josef’s secret Uluru Elopement below! And congratulations again you two!

September 21, 2019 at 8:14 amCongratulations Heather and Josef, not only on bringing such joy and happiness to yourselves and friends and family who are part of your lives, but in undertaking the personal and solemn commitment we call marriage in such a glorious and profound way in a very special part of the world. May you be open to all of God’s love and guidance through the trials and tribulations you will encounter in your lives’ journeys together and and when alone, but you are never alone! I am just so proud of you both and look forward to seeing you when back in Perth. Love Dad

September 22, 2019 at 9:20 amWell, you have been married for almost a week! Mom and I are still amazed our youngest Daughter is married to a fine young man Josef ( Joey here in Canada)
Your Wedding Pictures are stunning and obviously your love for one another is very real! Australia is wildly beautiful like the Bride and Groom
We are proud of you both and our prayers have been answered in you meeting someone like Josef and for the record Josef you did alright as well-“Welcome to the Family”
Be sure, and I know you will keep Christ at the Centre of your marriage, trust me The Journey will go so much better.
Always remember 1Peter 5:7 Cast all you anxiety on Him (The Lord) because he CARES about You.
And as I have often told you Heather “Things could be a 100 times better or a million times worse.” Nice to think about in the rough times.
Finally, looking forward to seeing you here in Canada when the opportunity presents itself-be safe.
