Relaxed, easy and sometimes with kids or pets – a little bit chaotic (in the best way 😄.) My sessions are very natural and movement-based, with lots of prompts rather than stiff posing. I’ll guide you the whole way so you never have to wonder what to do. The goal is for you to enjoy time together while I capture the genuine moments in between – the laughs, cuddles, chaos and connection that actually feels like you.
Honestly? Totally normal. I’ve photographed hundreds of families and I promise your kids do not need to sit still and smile at the camera for an hour for us to create beautiful photos. Some of my favourite images come from the in-between moments. My sessions are designed to keep little ones moving, exploring and engaged rather than expecting perfection. I’ll also send you a session preparation guide beforehand so you have some tips up your sleeve to help them cooperate.
Once you’re booked in, I’ll send you my session preparation guide with outfit tips and suggestions. In general, neutral tones and outfits that coordinate (rather than perfectly match) photograph beautifully. Comfort matters too – if you feel good, you’ll look good.
I have a handful of beautiful outdoor locations around Alice Springs that photograph beautifully at sunset, and I’ll help you choose the best fit for your session. Have somewhere special in mind? I’m always happy to chat about custom locations too.
All sessions are held to conclude at sunset for that beautiful soft golden light you see throughout my work. Yes, this can sometimes fall right in the middle of dinner/bath time territory for little ones – but I promise the light is worth it!

Absolutely – they are part of your story and are always welcome! I love including dogs in sessions and have several great pet-friendly locations to choose from.
This is incredibly common… and they almost always leave saying “that actually wasn’t bad at all.” My sessions are very relaxed and natural, and I keep things moving so nobody is standing around awkwardly smiling at a camera the whole time. I allow a full hour but if we get what we need before that and can wrap up early – bonus!
Most sessions run for around 30 to 60 minutes.
I allow up to an hour so there’s no pressure – time to settle in, move between spots, and capture a great variety of images. That said, not every session needs the full time. If we’ve got a beautiful gallery in 30-40 minutes, we’ll wrap up there. I’d always rather finish naturally once we’ve got the magic ✨
If the forecast looks poor (rain, heavy cloud, strong wind or unstable weather), I’ll get in touch beforehand and we’ll reschedule. Beautiful natural light is a huge part of my style, so I’d always rather move your session than deliver images that don’t reflect my work and the result you’re hoping for properly.
Every gallery is different, but you’ll receive a beautifully edited gallery of 50+ images to choose your favourites from. Your session package includes 10 digital images, with the option to upgrade to 20 images or the full gallery if you fall in love with more (which most families do 😄). When selecting and editing your gallery, I keep the best expressions, moments and interactions while removing blinks, blurry shots and unflattering in-between frames – so while there is no limit on what I deliver, you’re only choosing from the very best images from your session.
You’ll receive a small preview gallery within a few days, and your full gallery within 2 weeks.
All galleries are delivered online and are easy to download, share and order prints from.
