Earth Sanctuary Wedding

Since moving to Alice Springs and experiencing life in the bush, Tanya and Mark fell in love with remote Australia and knew they wanted their wedding to be a celebration where their family and friends could come and see for themselves what is so special about life in The Red Centre.

When Tanya first got in touch with me in July last year, she said “we are hoping to book the Earth Sanctuary as our wedding venue. Our date is available but I wanted to check you are available because I love your work and NEED you to take our wedding photos!!” Well I was of course so happy that I was available! The date was locked in and venues set – The Earth Sanctuary for their ceremony and reception and Ooraminna where they held their pre-wedding dinner and bride / groom preparations.

Come wedding day the rain started and didn’t stop, thanks to the awesome team at The Earth Sanctuary this was no trouble at all and the ceremony was moved under cover – where the décor was so beautifully set up including amazing florals by Wildfire Blooms. The wedding ceremony at the Alice Springs Earth Sanctuary included a traditional Welcome to Country, heartfelt vows by both the bride and groom, and a warm, cosy atmosphere under the canopy while the rain came down. Then it was celebration time! Toasted marshmallows, dancing and a bit of fun with sparklers concluded this amazing day and night! Tanya and Mark – thank you for having me to capture your special day, it was a real pleasure to meet many of your family and friends and share this day with you.
