July at Uluru usually means cold days and even colder nights, so it was a pleasant and welcome surprise to have beautiful blue skies and a warm day for Samantha and Brandon’s Ayers Rock wedding! I got to the lookout ahead of Brandon the groom as he arrived with his Dad and little Jaxon, the bride and groom’s son, looking dapper in a little suit and bowtie! That outfit didn’t stay clean for long though as Jaxon was super interested in the red sand and started playing in it right away!
Waiting atop Uluru Lookout we watched as Samantha the bride arrived looking absolutely stunning in a floor length gown of lace and tulle. The look on Brandon’s face when he saw his bride said it all! Brandon’s parents were there filming the ceremony live back to Samantha’s parents who couldn’t make it.
These two were just a blast to photograph – happy to do anything including getting plenty of red sand on that gorgeous gown which, by the end of the day, was a blush ombre (almost like it was on purpose!) I couldn’t help including a cute snap of Jaxon having a moment – he was so good the whole day but a wedding is exciting stuff and there just comes a time when a little tacker of only 2 needs a nap!
After dinner at Ilkari Resturant, I picked up Sam and Brandon for their Night Sky Portrait and the sky sure did put on a show for us as the perfect end to a perfect day. Congratulations again to the happy couple! Thinking about holding your wedding or elopement at Uluru? You can read more about that here!
