WHAT CAN WE EXPECT WHEN WE BOOK WITH YOU?

An easy and smooth experience with beautiful results! My pricing and booking calendar is available right here on my website. Once you’re booked in, I’ll send you over my location guide to help you choose the perfect spot for your shoot. You’ll also receive my session preparation guide to help you with everything from outfits to what to bring with you. On the day, my sessions are very relaxed, but also fast moving and fun to keep big kids and little kids alike entertained and engaged. I find the best moments are captured when you forget the camera is even there, so I’ll make sure you’re relaxed and enjoying natural interactions with each other to capture those authentic moments you’ll love!

After your session, you’ll see a preview of my early favourite images within a few days, and your full gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks. Galleries are delivered digitally and are accessible for 30 days.

WHAT TIME OF YEAR IS BEST FOR A SESSION?

I encourage sessions to be booked during the temperate months March – May and August – October. I understand this isn’t always possible, so am happy to schedule your session any time of year, just remember that in the summer months we’ll be starting very late in the day for sunset, and in Winter it could be very cold and / or windy at that time of day. I have a handy list of approximate start times depending on the month here.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORNS / BABIES?

I love working with kids! However my focus is on couples and families with toddlers+. If you’re wanting to book a session with your newborn baby, there are some wonderful local photographers who specialise in baby photography that I would be happy to recommend.

WHAT TIME ARE SESSIONS HELD, AND WHERE?

My sessions are always timed around sunset for beautiful natural light. We’ll schedule your session to begin during the Golden Hour, scheduled to end just after the sun sets. If you have little ones, I understand this can be a tough time of day – but it’s so worth it for beautiful memories! Location wise, I have a handful of picturesque local spots that I’ve handpicked for you to choose from.

HOW DO WE CHOOSE A LOCATION?

Beautiful locations enhance the look of your images, so I always recommend a picturesque spot for your session and have a great range of places I like to use that you can choose from. There are also some great options for pet-friendly locations that I’ve picked out! Set on a special place of your own? I would love to accommodate your request! Just let me know when booking.

HOW ARE THE PHOTOS DELIVERED, DO WE GET AN ONLINE GALLERY?

You sure do! Online galleries are the new norm in the industry and they are amazing! No more waiting on the post for a USB, or trying to work out how to share your photos with family and friends. Your online gallery is safe and secure, with a password only you get (and you choose who you pass it on to) and is available to you for 30 days. During this time you can download your gallery (and back it up on your computer, which I encourage you to do). The gallery is really easy and user friendly, and viewable on any device – desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile. You can even order from a great range of professional prints and products in your online gallery!

CAN WE MAKE OUR OWN PRINTS FROM OUR DIGITALS?

Absolutely – however I always recommend having any larger prints printed professionally. Your memories  deserve to be shown the way they were intended and, the quality and longevity of professional printed products makes all the difference. All my product printing is done through an Australian professional lab and includes a 75-year warranty on workmanship. Your online gallery comes with your very own online store where you can purchase any of these items.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET? HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT TO DELIVER?

This is such an important question to ask, because some photographers deliver just a small selection and others deliver hundreds – and everything in between! Check out my portrait pricing page for an estimate of how many final images you’ll receive here.

As to how I choose what I keep for you – I don’t have any limits on what I edit and deliver, however I also won’t overwhelm you with hundreds of just ‘ok’ images. If there are multiples of a similar shot I’ll keep only the most flattering one. Any others that don’t make the cut are those with bad exposure, blurry, unflattering (mid sentence or eyes closed). I definitely deliver the fun, silly and candid moments too (those are often going to be some of your favourite photos!).

WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

I understand that things happen! If you need to reschedule your session for any reason, the 50% paid to book in is non-refundable, however you can transfer it to another date. This allows for peace of mind if anyone can’t make it on the day – I just ask that you give me as much notice as is possible. A reschedule within an hour of your session start time or a no-show is treated as a cancellation and the 50% will be forfeited.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

The quality and style of my images relies on great natural sunlight. I’ll check the weather forecast and touch base with you several days before your session and if the forecast doesn’t look great (rain, heavy cloud, high winds or generally unstable weather), we will probably need to reschedule to another day. This ensures the best possible results from your investment.

CAN OUR PET COME?

Absolutely! I love photographing all the family, and up to two pets can be included in your session at no extra cost. There are a great range of pet-friendly locations we can choose from.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Once you’re booked in, I’ll send you a comprehensive session preparation guide including help with outfit choices, tips for the best results and what to bring along with you.
